NEWSLETTER-JUNE 2023

As the financial year draws to a close it feels like a good time to reflect on the successes of the 2023FY. Speckle Park continue to gain traction and commercial market share with many sale-topping results seen across the country. There are more Speckle Park sales than there ever has been, giving buyers the power to be selective and really fine tune their program with their purchases. We have seen a huge increase in youth participation in Speckle Park, not only at Sydney Royal with over 120 competitors in the Youth events but also in our own sale with many new buyers in the under 25 age bracket. We witnessed the largest showing ever of Speckle Park at Sydney Royal Easter Show in April with over 200 head displayed. In our own program we have held three sales in this Financial year and launched Wattle Grove Accredited. A tighter cattle market has bought prices back to a more sustainable level and we were very pleased with a 100% clearance and a solid average in the Fire & Ice Sale. Full sale report below. We hope this email finds you safe and well. Once again the weather is playing a huge role with some areas talking drought and others suffering a freezing winter, heavy rain and flooding. Combined with lower cattle prices it can be easy to feel like we are not far off from heading into tough times. With so many parts of our industry seemingly out of our control, mental health is the one area where we can be proactive. Take a moment to check in with yourself and check on a mate. How are you doing? Are you ok? Let's look after ourselves and each other. So happy end of financial year and we'll see you next month for another installment of the Wattle Grove Newsletter.FIRE & ICE SALE RESULTSThe 2023 Fire & Ice Sale was held 3rd June at Toowoomba Showgrounds.
