What a year it has been with mother nature throwing everything at our industry and creating a new level of resilience. Never has there been a better time to take stock of how we do things and jump on opportunities to create a new normal. A better way to do beef business. Speckle Park is that opportunity. We are offering a fantastic combination of genetics new and old at our annual speckle park sale. The first sons and daughters of Avery Creek Banjo 01B are up for grabs as are sons of the great Wattle Grove Stardust E2, who we sadly lost this year to a snakebite. We also have on offer bulls and females from our co-operator herds Kamarah Speckle Park, WA and Crocodile Creek Speckle Park, NSW. These herds have their foundation in Wattle Grove genetics and we thank them for working with us to create such quality Speckle Park cattle.
All animals in our sale are Parent verified Purebred registered Speckle Park. The October Group Breedplan EBV’s has been included in the catalogue as has all genetic testing results. We are more than happy to talk to you about the best purchases for your program.

Buyers Registration
You will need to be a registered bidder to purchase on the day. We recommend registering early via the GTSM or Elite Livestock Auctions. Registration will also take place on sale day.

Outside Agents
A rebate of 2% is offered to outside agents who introduce buyers to the selling agent GTSM in writing at least 24 hours prior to the sale, and settle accounts on the purchaser’s behalf within 7 days of the sale.
Insurance
All care will be taken with the cattle awaiting delivery. They become the responsibility of the purchaser at the fall of the hammer. We strongly recommend insurance. Please contact your local insurance provider for more information. Elders Insurance representatives will be available on sale day.

Herd Health
All animals in the sale have met all necessary health requirements. Bulls have been semen tested and vet checked. Females have been vet checked. Certificates will be available for purchasers for insurance purposes. All animals have been treated with Cydectin drench, Pestiguard, and 7in1 prior to the sale.

Fertility Guarantee
Every animal is guaranteed to be fertile at the time of the sale, Bull Breeding Soundness Evaluations are provided
on every bull including crush side semen tests. Every female has had an internal examination of reproductive organs. Should an animal prove infertile within six months of purchase, provided it is not caused by injury or disease contracted post sale we will provide a credit (of the purchase price minus salvage value) towards a future purchase. The Buyer must lodge any complaint with a veterinary certificate within 6 months of the sale direct to the Seller.
Raw Data
Scan data and current weights were completed 27th September and were submitted to Breedplan for analysis in the October Group run. Scrotal measurements were taken 16th September.
Genetic Lots
Wattle Grove will pay the import costs on embryos with delivery to our appointed importer at a mutually agreeable time. The purchaser is liable for storage and delivery costs in their own country. We recommend taking out storage and transit insurance.
Breedplan and EBVs
We supply weights, and scan data to Breedplan for analysis on all our registered animals. Octobers Group Breedplan EBV’s and a 2017 percentile table have been included in the catalogue foryour reference. EBV’s are a tool for purchasers to use in making decisions on what animal to purchase. And whilst we believe in performance data we trust in the accuracy of our knowledge of the cattle and their pedigrees. We are happy to discuss the genetic history of all our animals to assist you in making a decision on the best purchase for your program.
